Advanced Mobile Policy Enforcement
The enterprise edition of the Trellia Mobility Platform adds advanced policy enforcement capabilities to the Standard edition. The policies it enables IT to enforce are:
- VPN use: using the policy manager organizations can select to enforce the authentication of a VPN on some or all networks used by mobile workers. Once in place, the mobility client automates launch and authentication of the VPN. Trellia’s solution supports most common IPSec and SSL VPNs out of the box.
- Bridging & Routing: organizations can select to enforce that only a single network connection is in use at any given time. Trellia enables control at the device layer to ensure that wireless radios are turned off when necessary.
- Permissions & Access Control: Permissions control enables organizations to set the level of administrative privileges available to users. This ensures users cannot tamper with policy settings, network prioritization rules or access control. Access control enables enforcement of trusted network use only. Sanctioned networks can be preconfigured for use in the policy manager and access granted remotely. Unsanctioned networks at a given location will be visible to a mobile worker but not usable.
